This was indeed one of the most inspirational events i've attended so far.  It was a 2 day event packed with inspiring speakers, panels, networking, meet and greet with cosmo editors,  it was just amazing to say the least.

I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know a little more in depth about the editor in chief of U.S Cosmopolitan Joanna Coles. Got to meet and hear so many inspirational stories from amazing woman and man like: Kelly Osbourne, Windsor Hanger, Jillian Michaels, Aliza Licht, Chrissy Teigen, Sophia Amoruso, Jason Silva, Gabrielle Union, Matthew Hussey, Dr Meg Jay, Dr Jennifer Ashton, Alexa VonTobel, Jordan Carlos, Adam Rosante, Alicia Qaurles, Megyn Kelly And so many more.

There was one speaker in Particular that completely changed my whole view on my future plans and goals. Despite all the struggles and negative feedbacks from everyone Sarah Blakely the creator of Spanx decided to take all that negativity and turn it into something good. In 2000, Sarah Blakeley started Spanx with a dream and $5,000. She invented footless body -shaping pantyhose and launched a brand that has been revolutionizing the industry from more than a decade. Sarah has taken spanx from a spunky starup to a global powerhouse creating a celebrity favorite and must-have for fans everywhere.

While remaining the most innovative shapewear brand, Spanx has also put the slim in swim, the “ah” in bra, the workout inside the active pant and the skinny in the jeans. Spanx is inspired to help fans look and feel their best all day, every day.

Sara was selected as one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people and featured on the cover of Forbes as the world's youngest self-made female billionaire.
It has always been important to Sara to shape more than women’s butts and in 2013, she signed the Giving Pledge to donate half of her wealth to helping others.

I can sit here for hours and write pages long on why Sarah blakely inspired me, but that'll take too long and you guys will get bored. I'll just end by saying to always follow your dreams! i know it may sound cliché or super wack but i cant stress enough how aggressive you have to be to reach your future goals. for me Personally it hasn't been an easy road (not that i ever expected it to be so). After moving to another state at the age of 17  with no family or friends to rely on, my only objective was to survive and make it through that stage in my life! which i did. Now that i have found myself and discovered what it is that i really want in life, there is no stoping me now.
